Our history

1984

Gel-Pêche is founded: The company is established by Guy Besnardeau, specialising in the import and sale of Madagascan prawns to the supermarket sector

1996

Gel-Pêche has cemented its identity and position as a leading importer of frozen seafood by expanding its product range.

2017

Consolidation within the JMI Group: The various family-owned businesses are coming together under the JMI banner to strengthen B2B distribution.

2025

A new look for Gel-Pêche: a revamp of our visual identity whilst remaining true to our core values: quality, passion and expertise. A new look to reflect the expertise we have built up over the years.
